PARKER CHASE MAKES F1600 DEBUT

This past weekend Parker Chase made his debut in the #26 Formula 1600 car as part of the F1600 Series. Taking place at the Palm Beach Grand Prix facility, the Texan, at the young age of 13, was the youngest in the field and raced against much older and more experienced drivers. Chase competed with Chastain Motorsports, which has proven to be one of the top teams in the series with multiple wins in 2014.

Chase qualified in the seventh position with a lap time of 1:20.086. In the feature race he fell back to eighth at the start, but was able to battle his way up to fifth on lap fourteen of the twenty lap race. In the final few laps Chase fell to sixth, but turned the third fastest lap of the race. Showing his natural skill and ability, the rookie was towards the front half of the field throughout the event weekend.

“This was a great weekend,” commented Parker Chase. “The team and I work together very well.  We had a focused approach for this weekend of simply learning the new car and the new tire compound. We got faster with every session and this showed by setting the third fastest lap in the feature race.”

Chase continued, “I am very fortunate.  I really like the F1600 car, the F1600 series, and entire Chastain Motorsports team is a great group of guys.”
